Project Arizona, the rise of the Phonix...a wide body story

Looking Good Henric...

I know the feeling when the work again begins :D

...along with the contra feeling when it grinds to a halt !!!!

Thanks guys!

Yes RBYCC, I feel your pain and you've been at it for far longer than I have.

What gives me a great deal of patience is my guy's $35.00 per hour labor rate...

There is an advantage to living in a resort area in a county that beyond the coast has a larger population of chickens then people....

However a call last night indicated that he might be getting back on it in about two weeks....

Worked out a deal with my guy as well. The wide body conversion would be a side project that would be tended to between real paying customers. lol

That's the best way to do it...find a guy who is a real artist and works with pride on the project.

My guy is actually a painter for a local Chevy dealership's collision shop..
Boring work for him, but it more then pays the bills.

He has a huge workshop behind his house and has just added a full blown paint booth.

I knew he did a lot of custom painting on the side for motorcycle racing teams, but wasn't aware of his sheet metal ability...

I'm happy that he works on the car when he can...no complaints !!!

Meanwhile, if anyone has a lead on an affordable set of 9JX16 et0 and 10JX16 et-12.7 AMG Five Spoke Road Wheels (aka Pentas) please do let me know. Thank you.

There is a nice set of BBS split rims on the other club for sale in 9x17 and 10x17 .... not cheap though , but at least it is a set.

Thanks Howard. Though not absolutely critical that I find these as I do have a gorgeous alternative yet to be revealed but it would be a nice finishing touch to a period correct restoration!

I had to edit your posts as your pictures are proimpting users for a username and password - I guess you need to make them public or something.

Okay it was a permissions issue and has been resolved. Can you replace the photos throughout the thread? Thanks.

It was only the links to the three pictures I removed a couple of posts up.

If you post them below I'll tidy the thread up for you afterwards.

i'm afraid brian wh, removed more than just a few. i'll have go back thru the thread when I have some more time to try and figure out which is which. bummer.

Photos relocated in right posts as requested. ;)
