Heard a fair bit about this and SOPA. Something to keep an eye on as what's pushed through there may well come here next.

The Americans are a little too puritanical with their politics, generally if it's dumb it bites them on the backside.

Internet gaming is pwerfect example of this. What were they thinking banning internet gaming? All the American firms moved to Uk tax havens and they're all run from here now.

American are no longer "The world", and sometimes they seem to forget it.

SOPA is a fine example of where the real power in the country lies - in large companies. I have nothing against companies earning billions, but I do hate they way they are able to influence governments.

That's because they own them :D

I can only vaguely rember this.
But wasnt there supposed to be some vote or legislation passed here in the Uk before that was allowed. ??

It was a while ago now but didnt Brown end up in the brown stuff because his 'Supercasino' law fell through. And all gaming isp's have to now hide up in Gibralter somewhere.

best place for them, gambling is just a way of separating the generally less well off, naive or unwary from their money
