Found a very good example e55 so I purchased it.

Took it to a mb specialist to get the breather re sealed on both sides as it was leaking oil, while there I asked for a health check so now I am looking for parts and advice.

The double ribbed pulley needs replacing due to play which is tearing the belt. Anyone know where I can get a good one? MB is charging £370+vat.

S/C tensioner?

The vehicle supercharger has been upgraded by Eurocharge will this mean I need the double ribbed pulley from them?

Engine mounts(x2) also need replacing and gearbox mount amongst other things which are minor

The specialist has told me for the age, the car is very clean and has been kept in good condition.

the bill is a bit so I want to do it in stages could anyone tell me which is more important to do first and why please

Any advice and website links to very good quality parts would be heavily appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to E55 ownership. I bought one last Saturday, boost is addictive!

Which pulley are they referring to?

Get some pics up of your car as well!

Can you put up a photo of the pulley in question?

Get the pulley done first before you shred your belts. The mounts can wait unless they are at the point of collapse.

The gearbox mount is simple, takes minutes as a DIY and under £40.
Engine mounts on an E55 can be a pain and cost around £60 each parts only.

Febi brand from eBay are acceptable, but contact MB Newcastle as they discount parts pretty heavily. https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...nts.TRS0&_nkw=W211+E55+engine+mounts&_sacat=0

Here are some pictures of the pulley and belt which is shredding

Image below shows condition of belt, the whole belt isn't shredding just part of it

Pulley in question is the one with double belt

looks like the tensioner pulley

give MSL a shout and ask for the ASP 3 piece pulley set, this will have the double idler pulleys and the tensioner pulley.

bearings go on all of these so a good preventative measure. The bearing on the ASP pulleys is removable so cheap to fix when the bearings go on them.

Just contacted msl and the 3 piece pulley is coming in at £440 from Mercedes, I quoted asp 3 piece pulley, so not sure if there quoting me for a different product or that is the actual price but now I'm confused
