Taken from the PCW newsletter......
"Microsoft today released the Xbox 360 Elite, while yesterday saw Sony announce plans for a Playstation 3 PVR add-on.
Along with an all-black chassis, the new Xbox 360 Elite features an HDMI port and 120GB hard drive. Unlike Sony's more expensive PS3, though, an HD drive isn't included - the PS3 comes complete with a Blu-ray drive, while an HD-DVD drive is available as an extra for the Xbox 360.
Perhaps more interesting than the new Xbox, however, is Sony's plan to release a Freeview PVR module for the PS3. Called PlayTV, it attaches to the PS3 via USB and its twin high-definition tuners essentially turn the console into Sky Plus-style box. You'll have to wait until next year before the service launches in the UK, but, if priced sensibly, it could seriously boost the appeal of the much maligned PS3."
Sounds like a good idea to me.......
