Hi, Should the PSI on a tyre be changed if larger tyres are used?
I have changed from 16" to 18" wheels and 205 to 255 tyres.

Do the manufacturers specs on PSI remain the same for the 255s?

thanks

I did the same, 16" to 18", 225 front and 255 rear.
I put the pressures up from 30/33psi to 33/35psi

My CL55 has 19" rims as standard, however the pressures shown under the fuel cap are for 18"...I asked MB Hamilton who told me to keep them the same.
Colin.

Check your manual or inside of your fuel filler flap for an indication of what the tyre pressures should be for your car.

Use these pressures to begin with - in the absence of better information - and then adjust depending upon wear and handling characteristics. Unless you can really feel a difference when adjusting pressures, stick with those recommended by MB.

36 psi all round buddy! Low profile tires need higher pressure.
