I can't for the life of me remember what this plant is called - anybody know?

I need to buy one today, but don't know what to ask for.

THANKS in advance!

what he said ^

blue colour is obtained by introducing ferrous materials (example- nails) into the soil near the plant...

I beleive the colour is affected by the alkaline or acidity of the soil.

sulphur powder helps with the blue too.

No one has asked, but I'm not shy.

How come you need to buy one but don't know what it is? Did you kill someone's?

An elderly relative told me the best things to put in the ground to make it go a blue colour are old razor blades.

Not recommended if you have inquisitive kids or dogs.

^ Damn good if your neighbour has cats though.

Is this a variation of the what's this car/bit of car/covered car theads, isn't it?

Has someone converted MB World into a Garden Centre :D

We have it at home in our garden, and it was chosen/bought by my mother, she has since passed away.

When it comes to gardening, I am only good for mowing the lawn, strimming the edges and Jetting the patio.

The In-laws wanted a clipping of the plant for their house, so thanks to everyone on here, I dropped into the local nursery/garden centre and bought them their own 'Hydrangea'.

Thanks again to all! :thumb:

Back off-topic :D

I'm just back from Italy where we visited a spectacular villa garden and they had a stunning white hydrangea bush growing amongst pink and blue variants.
