Really well, touch wood. Have not yet done anything about the two wheels that need the diamond cutting (the other side the previous owner sued a car park for curbing them and they replaced them with new ones) and the stone chips/small rust points which I've got planned.
I have though replaced the autodim mirror glass of the driver's side that had a shadow with a new one bought for £50 on ebay (that's for autodimming one still can't believe it), the frame of the passenger mirror that had some wires cut due to the folding, the frame of the drivers mirror that had a slowish motor (pair of folding mirrors from ebay for £75, another bargain) new AMG car mats for £109 (felt generous to the car) and a brand new genuine wood/leather mercedes gearknob from germany with the wood matching perfectly for £80. (Very rare)
There has been no oil consumption in the 3,000 miles I've covered since I bought it not even by a mm on the dipstick but the rear tyres are shot. MOT time in end of October so I have already bought two Pirelli P Zeros Rosso matching the fronts with the tread as new (still have the rubbery bits sticking out) but with one puncture repair each for £80 the pair. I will never buy new tyres for the rear, as they last me less than a year. I have told the part worns guy, any pirellis he gets in with so much tread to put on the side.
It will need brake pads as well that again there was a guy selling a full set of genuine MB for E55 in their unopenned boxes as he sold the car before doing them (wait for it, £88 inc delivery).
I spend a lot of time on ebay and purchase opportunistically.
I ve still got about 4000 miles to the next B service, but I'll think L ll service it early. I want to also check the rear subframe bushes and differential as I get a slight click from the back when setting off and pressing/releasing the accelerator. Nothing at high speed changes or breaking. My mechanic at Greenvale felt is nothing worrying, but I'll jack the car up and change anything necessary.
Overall though very happy and with the performance. I will later look to up it a bit but on N/A engines is expensive like headers, racing cats and chip so no hurry.
I have also spotted an identical azurite blue e55 in the leigh area in Lancashire with full black leather as mine but not sure if one of the members here.
