Hi folks, I need to order injectors for our Mercedes W203 270cdi 2002. Its now getting a little long in the tooth, and usual faults are beginning to surface.
After suffering from the dreaded saddle bag fuel tank syndrome, I have replaced the fuel filter (Merc OE), all plastic fuel lines, and resealed the high pressure fuel pump just in case (wasnt showing signs of leak, but was corroded). Im now looking at replacing 2 injectors due to leak off, but have noticed that I already have 3 re manufactured injectors already installed, and two originals. My question is that they have different part numbers, the 2 original injectors are A6130700687, and the 3 reman injectors are A6130700987. What is the difference? Is the reman injectors a later updated version?

    Thanks in advance, David

More than likely a superseded part. I can check the part numbers in the morning. If you have a reg or a Vin I can give more accurate numbers

    Hi David,

    Bob's hunch was correct.

A6130700687 was the original part number which was superceded with A6130700987

If I have got this correct

A 613 070 09 87 the second last two [in bold] from the last two nos are the revision number and usually the higher the no the later the revision??
Sometimes the number changes completely as it comes from a newer model with a different first 3 nos [ 613 ] but the group no usually stays the same e.g. [070]

Agreed, any of these two numbers will do. If you can source the newer one then great but the original one is fine

Technically I would say yes but I'm sure I have seen some exceptions
