I'm looking to buy a nice R230 SL350, I've narrowed it down to a 350 for several reasons but mainly to avoid issues with air suspension as they are getting to be old vehicles now.
So am I better buying an 04 plate with nearly 90k miles on it and full MB service history or an 03 plate with 36k miles on it (warranted by mot's/vosa) but broken/non MB service history?
The main question is would a 90k mile MB car already have all the issues sorted wheras the 36k mile car still have them to come?
It will be my wife's daily vehicle, I'll get to drive it in the summer!, It'll do about 4k miles p/a
I have a buyers guide from drmw on the other forum, however anything else I should look for?

When you say the 03 one has a 'broken/non-mercedes' service history, how broken is it? At the mileage, there would not have been that many services required. The 03 one would be my immediate choice as you are much further away from any SBC problems.

I don't mean any specific vehicles, just a general guideline as to which would be better.

Hi my SL350 is still available, service history and just had a full service costing nearly £400.It has done 61000 miles but that is nothing on a 2003 car and still sounds and runs like a much newer car.Give me a ring on 01702 202119 or 07805232366. Michael. PS I need to sell as being a pensioner I am on a limited income.
