The speed limiter? It should work as I had mine set at higher speed than that. Push in and click upwards.

If your question is "Should the cruise control work at 85mph?" the answer is "Yes".
If it works at lower speeds the problem can often be the wheels rotating at slightly different rates. This fools the ESP into thinking the car is aquaplaning or skidding, and it disengages, or won't engage, the cruise control as a safety measure.
The comonest causes are incorrect tyre pressures or deviating from the fitted wheel sizes on one of the axles.

Hmmm... Thanks. Have just had new tyres fitted so will check that.
