Percentage is simple for math haters, if you can remember that "per" means "divided by" (as in, miles per hour, or miles per gallon), and that "cent" means 100, or in the case of "per cent", the part divided by the whole. It was a bit easier to make sense (or, cents) of over here, where we have the 100 cents to our dollar.
I not only hate math, but until they can find a number for Pi, I claim it's all a hoax.
Still, it's the best we have to figure the cost of a cheeseburger.
