thanks ringway, had a good read, got depressed, then realised that all manufacturers have their own issues! I found PCS website so will call him and see if i can arrange a vehicle inspection prior to purchase, thanks

I believe Olly is as good as they get, I'm 200 miles from him, but he will still advise me on the forum

hi Ringway, another query, sorry. I spoke to olly today, great guy by the sounds of it, but he did say that he would have to inspect the vehicle to see if it is one of the Valeo affected vehicles, do you know if this is the case? I think i have read all of the Valeo threads and there is a link to the definitive list, but the link is broken - any ideas?

You could try any of the threads on the page linked below, manufacture dates of vechicles affected etc..

thanks Paul, you are a very helpful bloke, thanks for keep answering me aswell. I feel ashamed to say reading all of those threads aswell and links to american sites i still cannot get any clear details. It seems mainly Valeo radiators upto 09/03 but then the odd one after that? anyone with a definitive answer is going to change my mind and keep me looking for one before i give up on MB!
