Hello

Reading another thread I had forgot I even had the number plate surround, so just poped out and added it to my car. Idealy I will change the plate so the plate has no holes and the surround is fixed to car but for now I like it :)

After 5 mins just now......

Is it just a frame or a backing board as I can see the screws still!?!

Lose the '0' in the 350 - will look more authentic IMO :D

Somebody will be along shortly to tell you that that plate won't pass an MOT....:D :D :D

Hello,

Yes its just a frame and yes its screwed in. If I screw the frame in first and attach the plate I then have 4 holes as I don't have another plate that isn't drilled :( ooh and yes its flea bay special forgot all about it. (around a tenner I think)

I was thinking of getting rid of the '0' funny enough

either Badge it ML35 or ML37 (that may throw people though)

I may do a poll just for fun...

If its worth another 15 bhp then that's ace :) :)

Cheers

How about a ML230? And yes they were made.

Surely thats another 20bhp :) :)

Underbadging is far better than overbadging (I'm making new words!)

I would love a C55 but I would badge it as a C200 CDI. I thinks its more fun at the traffic light GP to 30MPH of course.

Well my new coupe is badged "E36 AMG", but its a stock looking car, woth nothing other than AMG wheels. The number of people that try to call my bluff is funny. After I do the body work on it, Ill take all the badges off.

Oooh, I know - why not buy a new plate with the legal font ;)

then just screw the frame to the car and stick the plate on - will look far neater and save you any hassle with the 'legality' of the plate :D

Sorry, couldn't resist :)

I will get a new plate but it will be the same (with out the holes)

Come Mot time depending what the tester says I will wip the plate off the caravan and get a front one made up.

Agree it will look better stuck to frame though :)

Just to warn you there is currently a police operation running targeting vehicles with illegally space/fonted (?!) number plates... ;)

How about a Euro style plate so you can remove the GB from your bodywork? :D

Also, how about a Aerotwin style flat wiper for the rear screen - would look neater?
