r class command radio nav fault

recently my command in my 2006 r class stop working when i switched on, it off after 30 to 60 seconds and i open it and check the cooler fan inside it not look working and i checked also the power to the fan instead of having 12v i only having 3v. any one know how to resolve this please

Almost no parts are available from Mercedes for the internals of COMAND, and there is no service information for it. It could well be just 3V if the COMAND wants it to run slowly.

Was it very hot when it stops working ?

My suspicion is you will have to get a replacement COMAND unit.

the fan it self not working on the unit even slow but when i bypass the fan connector and manually connected to 12v its work and also i don't know if any thermal switch is there for fan is there any thing else can stop working the unit like that (on and off )

Its software controlled in the COMAND.

If you go for the replace COMAND route I have a spare one for R-Class. PM me if you're interested.
