Hi, forum!

I'm thinking of buying a used R-Class and wonder about the extra space the long version provides and how it affects the passengers etc.

As I understand it, the long version is about 20CM longer than the normal version. Where does this space go on the inside, more legroom for the 3rd row passengers or only more space in the trunk or a combination of both? I'm not going to be transporting passengers in the 3rd row normally, I just want to have the ability sometimes.

Also, if one has either version, the cover for the trunk, can that be expanded to cover the space if the 3rd row has been folded down?

TIA!

My in-laws have a LWB R Class which I've been in as a passenger many times. The difference compared to the SWB is that you still have boot space if using all 3 rows of seats. Obviously you can get more in it with the seats down too - father in law often brings cycles etc. over. It's my mother in law's daily driver - she doesn't mind the length of the car. Can't help re. the luggage cover ... I've never seen that in their car.

I have the swb it does have a small boot but big enough for shopping and other things you might want to keep in the boot and it looks better
I would recommend a black (best colour to get) swb amg sport model

I have one and comes with a luggage cover but is removable
