I was listening to "Last Word" on Radio 4 this afternoon and it included a (too) short tribute to Michel Legrand. It struck me that I'd missed out on a musical genius......

Shocking to think that he wrote the scores for Les Parapluies de Cherbourg and The Thomas Crown Affair more than fifty years ago.

I doubt that I'll be doing Tango, New Orleans and Russian riffs on my best work from my 20's when I'm in my 80's. (This comment will only make sense if you've heard the clip)
 
Still remember snorting at the tracking (bicycle) shot at the end of this clip.
