R107 Front Valance Removal

[300SL-86]

Hi Guys,
If anybody can advise me how to remove the lower front valance off my 87 300SL I would appreciate it.
I have some slats broken on the lower grill that sits within the valance, so Im hoping to be able to take the valance off, and then remove that grill. But it looks the grill is rivetedin.... I cant see any screws or bots as of yet.
