R107 - Odometer / Mileometer not working

Before I take the dash apart, has anyone come across this problem before - basically, the mileometer and odomoter have just stopped turning. The speedo itself is working perfectly.

Any ideas? Rebuild, replace?

Split nylon gear inside the speedo head. Either buy a new gear or make the old one good with glue and strengthening wire.

Appreciate it thanks - did a bit of looking on t'internet and all points to the same thing, so speedo out it is!

Okay, took this apart just now and all of the mechanical side of things is okay - i.e. I can turn the gears myself from the motor and the numbers turn.

I'm guessing that the problem lies in the electronics / motor side, so I'm thinking it's a case of looking for a refurb.

Shame as I cleaned the inside of the housing and the other dials and it looks really good!
