Hi all,

Decided I need to get some 15" flat face wheels for my 1985 SL500. The usual auction site has not thrown up any in decent condition, but thought you guys may have a few ideas.

I suppose I could also go with Mexican Hats if the condition and price were right.

Hi Jon

I am in the process of replacing my 14" mexican hats with 15" flat faces. Let me know if you are interested in them. They are in great condition with good tyres.

These wont become available until a couple of months though as i've got to test fit my flat face ones 1st (to double check i'm happy) and then referb them before i do the swap over. PM me

Unfortunately cannot wait that long as I want to use the car and the incorrect wheels are causing issues.

Thanks for the response though.

If you have found flat face ones on ebay but the condition is not good if you get them at a good price it is easy enough to get them refurbed before you put them on or even later on.

:bannana: I really must up my game on ebay searching !!

One of these is near the car, and the other near my brother.... so hopefully !

Thanks

if you do get a set that need re-furb, Chris is your man @ exel. He will travel to you, pick them, and bring them back minty fresh and fit them to your SL.

Holy cow, you can't give those away in the junk yard. The same wheels were put on the W126 models from 1986-1991. You should be able to find them in the breakers yard.

Do not confuse them with W124 wheels (which have W124 part numbers stamped on them) as they are the wrong offset.
