R129 500sl fitting AMG Aero 11 3piece split rims question
Yes they share the same offset with the W126. You probably have front wheels with an offset of 30 which are for the W124, you can check on the inside of the wheels where it will be marked.

Im sure the 18" 2-piece bbs amg splits are 10.5 rears? I have a set down at the refurbers will report back when I pick them up.
o.p there were many different e.t's for the o.z amg 17" 3-piece I think the w126 and r129 are the same fitment 8.5/10 et17/et18. standard w124 8.5 et30 all round square set up, w124 e500 8.5 et18 all round, w201 190e were 16" so you definitely don't have them.
due to the nature of the wheel they do poke out a little but when you take a wheel off and realise the arch's are the size of kitchen sinks you need the buff wheels to fill it

Those are the wheels I have on my car ... 8.5" front (245/40 tyre), 10" rear (275/35 tyre).

also the tyres my fitter recommended were 255 on the front which are pretty wide and i note that on the fitting chart on the german alloy website that most have 245 width so Im wondering if the 255 tyres are too wide as well. the fitter was adament that 245 were too skinny for 8.5 inch rims.

Your front rims look incorrect. It looks like yours are the same as the back ones (10")
Compare the outer lips on yours to mine. Also note my 235 section tyre sits proud of the rim.

the rear wheels are significantly wider than the fronts that is for sure and is wearing the more correct 265 width tyre in keeping with it being a 10 inch rim
