I went to look at a 1990 500SL and on the side of the fuel distribution head is a black box with 2 screws holding it in place and when they started the engine up the box was leaking fuel through most of the holes in the casing,is this a common problem as I once saw a 500SEL with the same fault and is it an easy fix just by swapping them over or something more serious.

2 out of 2 would suggest it's a common fault.

Or you are plain unlucky?!

Sorted now
