R129 Front Grill

Good morning all, well thnks to the condition of our wonderfull roads in the UK I now have a 50p size hole in my front grill to complement the 20 or so scratches etc in my windscreen.

I have looked on the web with no success for a front grill for a R129 SL 320. Can anyone help. The car is 10 years old and in this recession I have no wish to spend the near £400 the stealer ship wants.

Which part of the grille? The slats can be bought individually. Failing that a breakers / eBay etc.

Hi Stats, the slats are ok its one of the sections on the 3 pointed star at the front in the centre of the grill. I've been looking on the web for days and there's nothing except bling chrome which i don't want. Can you suggest any good websites for merc spares?

You can buy the Star from MB for £25.

No it doesn't...it's just the plastic "chromed" bit.
