I noticed that too. It's not the official Mercedes workshop hoist if that's what you're thinking and I don't know whether there is a Mercedes hoist of this type which is designed to hoist the hardtop into the eaves of a garage.

Pretty sure it's aftermarket mate have only heard of the shuttle

These go for about £125 on ebay quite regularly.
