R129 Hard Top Roof Shuttle

Hi,

Keep missing these and been keeping an eye out for years... so just making it known im after one...

Im happy to pay £500 for a decent clean one.

Forgive my lack of knowledge but what is a roof shuttle? As a former owner of a R129, maybe I had one of these and didn't know !!!

You would know if you had one!

Its a hoist to lift the hard top off the car.. Its specific to the R129 and most main dealers had them in their workshops... They were also sold as an accessory... They are around but never managed to get my hands on one yet.

They look like an engine hoist.

I made my interest known within 40 minutes and despite three pm's heard nothing till it was posted as sold

Yes I think I pm's within about 12 minutes... same last time as he had another one a month or two back...

annoying thing is I was happy to pay double the price - why give something away at below its value!

i was well out i didnt see it until around 7pm.

I had a response almost immediately (being the person who ended up buying it) and so addressed requests on a first come/first served basis. I had quite a number of PM's on this.

Don't forget that I am 12 hours ahead of you so the latter PM's were in the middle of the night for me.

I put it up for what I paid for it and in the interests of a quick sale (since I have been paying storage costs too) so one less thing for me to worry about.

I have a shuttle in as new condition, which has been dry stored in a garage for the last five years, unused. I plan to put it on eBay shortly, with several photos, to give everyone a fair chance of bidding for it. I will post the link to it when I've put it on there. Location Somerset. It easily dismantles to fit in an estate car or SUV. I have transported it before in a Honda CRV. Hopefully some of you are still interested. Cheers, N
