R129 Hardtop Hoist - Anybody used/using one?

Glass is heavy stuff - that's why the pano top is 10kg heavier than the standard one.

According to Ken Rockwells excellent write up on the SL500 it says "The top only weighs 73 pounds since it's aluminum." that equates to 33Kg's?

IIRC Ken also claimed the radiator grille slats were made from titanium. He gets a bit carried away sometimes

Stats007 (who was an active member on here for a long time, and a knowledgeable chap) also quotes 45/55kg, citing the R129 STAR DVD as the source:

Swap the A for an I, Bill, although the correct spelling is Ayrton!

I have plenty of headroom in the garage, but not much space for a Hardtop Stand!

I have one for sale as I’ve sold my SL 320 with a pano roof. It was a brilliant accessory. Could leave the roof on the hoist over the summer period.
