Hi all,
I've got a puzzling one. MY 1997 SL280 has a habit of closing its passenger window, even when the ignition is off and the keys are out. This seems to be leading to the battery draining (unless there is another fault, but this would seem to be the prime suspect and I'm not aware of any other issues) over the space of about three days.
The window works ok on the switch, although it does occasionally lose its memory and have to be reset (the clue being that it fails to drop when the door is opened). I could be driving along and lower the window - one-touch working fine - and it will just decide to pop up an inch, then a minute later another couple of inches... etc!
Any thoughts? Is there something in the window/roof system which might be causing the window to try to close randomly? I don't think it could be the switch because it also happens when the car is off, but I'm happy to explore all avenues!!
