Hello.I have a problem with my '97 SL 500 .After problems with low voltage in battery ,are flashing control on cluster and below on the button in central panel,but only when roll bar is down.Star Diagnosis can't reset fault on cluster. Soft top works,roll bar works .Can anybody help me?

The roll bar, roof and windows are all interlinked. A genuine MB Star system should be able to diagnose the error ... the only things I can think of are to do a window reset and if that doesn't work cycle the roll bar a few times in case there's a sticky microswitch there (long shot).
I had similar issues due to low voltage once - STAR showed (spurious) window faults. Once these were cleared it was fine. I have used a maintenance charger ever since then! Good luck

You could try it. Disconnecting didn't work on my car (I pulled the fuses) ... the error codes were still there afterwards. Did you try the window reset?
