R129 SL320 Window Drop Upon Open

I have read through previous comments but none seem the same as my issue, the passenger door comfort open upon door open has failed but the window works ok as does the drivers door that is 100% ok in all respects.

I thought it would be the battery but if the drivers door works ??

I have recently put the battery on a conditioner trickle charger but as yet its not "happy" in that the charger still shows full charging not tyrickle state.

If the window drop works on one side but not the other there must be a problem with that door. Could it be something as simple as the door switch (that operates the interior lights)?

Note that you shouldn't try to close a door without the window drop working. You may damage the window and/or seals (see handbook). If necessary, lower it slightly using the window switch then raise again after closing.

Did a RESET (10 SECS PRESS ON UP AND DOWN) and it did the trick i think its the battery on the way out - its a biggy and looks £££ sadly

Yup if a smart charger won't switch over to 'maintenance' mode it usually means the battery has had it. Good news on the window though.

Lucky me - the trickle charger turned green today !!! sadly the henderson garage door jammed on the way out and will cost me far more than a battery to get sorted !!!!
