SL500 (R129) plus TVR, Caterham, Volvo.
Apologies as I guess it's been asked before but couldn't get a definitive response via the search and Google brings up more answers than I have spanners in my toolbox.
Will my SL500 have an LSD?
Do I need to get both wheels up to confirm?
What grade oil should I use to top up?
What is the size of the hex allen key that I need to buy?
Thanks in advance for any guidance offered.

Will my SL500 have an LSD? - Depends on whether it was optioned with one. Check under the diff for fins on the back plate which is a good sign that it does. If it has a plate on the side that says "Actung!!" then it's an LSD for sure. Otherwise check the data card from the vin# on EPC

Do I need to get both wheels up to confirm? - No

What grade oil should I use to top up? 90wt

What is the size of the hex allen key that I need to buy? I think it's 17MM, IIRC whatever MB uses on the drain plug.

Hi,
The drain and fill bolts are very tight. You might need some sort of breaker bar extension to get enough leverage.
Make sure you can loosen the fillling bolt before you remove the drain bold.
