Hi all just wondered about your thoughts on this.

is this really a 500?

its advertised as a 320 and the engine looks like a 320 but then again i wouldn't know what a 5.0l looks like, although i imagine it would look different to the straight six

That's a SL320. M104 engine.

What age is it? It has '99 onward rear lights but earlier rectangular door mirrors and old-style aircon. Replica wheels, aftermarket exhaust and the 'upbadging' already mentioned.

Ok that fits, it's had the vent panels behind the front wheel arches changed to the later ones too but it still has the original grille. Interior pics. would have confirmed it as before the big '96 facelift ... it almost certainly has the 4-spd gearbox. No idea on price really, with it being LHD and only a 320 it should be pretty cheap. A lot depends on what it's like in the metal ... they nearly always look good in the pics!
