Were any SL55 AMG's imported into the UK ?

Not as far as I am aware. didnt realise any 129s were made as 55s

AFAIK R129 SL55s were only ever sold in Germany, and not many were made (60-70 in total?). I'm sure a few subsequently went to other countries but there'd be no way of knowing how many and to where.

If I'm not mistaken, out of 64 cars made, only 45 are documented to still exist.
The rest are unaccounted for.

Basically, the R129 SL55 AMG is a unicorn.
