I often have a little trawl through ebay having a look at R129 parts for sale as much out of curiosity as anything else. I've noticed that one particular parts seller specialising in R129 parts is more expensive than buying new parts from my main dealer, what's that all about?
I'm not talking about parts that you can no longer get as I've just ordered one part from my dealer for £35 and the aforementioned seller is selling the same part used for £68. To be fair not all are above new price, I have bought one used part from this seller which was a far price for a used part but they hadn't even bothered cleaning it I had to do that when I got.
I guess the moral of the story is it pays to ask your local dealer before assuming you've got to buy 2nd hand, you never know you may save some money.
