Hello again, new to the R129 range and am enjoying the car however I have discovered the rear carpets are getting damp.
Did a bit of googling and decided to investigate the rear roof storage area. There's my problem I thought, there was water lying in the well with the hood ram in it.
First thought that the short drain pipes were disconnected from the outlet next to the ram but it seems like that's meant to be. Poking a wire down that hole showed that I could only get to about the level of the bottom of the ram and assume therefore that the upper drain discharges to the well.
So where does the ram well drain from and to.
I'm guessing it's been a problem for others but cannot find a thread about it anywhere.
Can anyone help please?

Did you ever solve this mystery? I’ve just pulled the lower drain hoses out of the sills while replacing the rams but now I’m not sure how they should be routed back in
