R170 Error Lights

I have an intermittent ABS and BAS/ASR error light fault. When these show up with the engine running my vario roof also wont operate, the switch lamp just flashes.
The error lights sometimes go out whist driving.
Any clues please.

I would check the battery and charging circuit.
I can't see any relationship between the two other than a low battery voltage

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
Battery voltage is reading 12.8, charging 13.6 so these seem ok.
Just started the engine and ABS, BAS/ASR still on but this time the roof works properly up and down. I too can not see a connection, maybe 2 faults, need the warning lights solved soon as she is due ITV (MOT) in May.

Brake light switch can cause these problems but in my case it was the lateral position sensor under the centre consul.Star should find the fault.
