R170 Rear Diff

Hi Chaps, and Chapetts. Has anyone pulled apart the rear diff? While it's off the car I intend to replace the 3 seals.
Do the 2 drive shaft flanges pull out or are they retained from the inside?
Looking for a heads up before I pull the back plate and start poking around inside.
I'll post pics when I've pulled it apart. Will also do a video on replacing the seals.

No idea sorry but just to say it took my MB dealership three attempts to get the driveshaft seals to stop leaking.
Someone did suggest it's very easy to damage them when reinserting the shafts..
