R171 Roof not going down, no indicators and nothing on the dash :(

Hi All,

so the weather has been great, I decided that I would get out of work early, wash the car and then pop the roof down and go for a drive. Unfortunately, after starting, I noticed a couple of weird things:

1. the dashboard is displaying absolutely nothing
2. the roof wont go down
3. the indicators dont work

Everything else seems to work. The car hasnt moved for 2 days but I have left it for longer without using it with no issues.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Any info/help would be much appreciated.

The first thing to do is get the fault codes read on the car it might be the rear sam has gone down on the car

Managed to solve my issue. After checking the fuses, latch in the boot for the roof, and pretty much everything else, I decided to "reboot" so disconnected the battery for 10 minutes and then reconnected.

Everything is now working as normal, only thing I had to do was reset my clock...

Odd one... Guess car electronics are like computers, reboot and they are fixed :bannana:
