When we got the SLK it had a minor leak on the drivers side door on the triangular panel which carries the door mirror.
Now we have a more major leak in heavy rain which results in a puddle on the panel behind the drivers seat where the seat belt emerges.
Since buying we have found that the car has previously been repaired, probably offside front wing & drivers door. There is a tiny misalignment of the wing to bonnet and as can be seen on one of the photos the door is striking the lock plate and wearing the plastic cover.
The glass appears to be in contact with the rubber the same amount as on the passenger side but possibly slightly less pressure.
Have previously taken the E Class to main dealer for a window adjustment and they wanted best part of £150 to diagnose the problem before quoting for the repair. So I took it to local indi who charged £130 for an adjustment which doesn't seem to have made any difference. For that & another reason I have no desire to return there.
Any suggestions please of possible cure for these leaks.....................
