R230 350 SL MPG question

Hello all

I have a 350 SL 2005, 5 speed auto.

Have a question regarding the mpg, when I first turn the ignition on, the multi function display starts around 9/10 mpg and the works its way to early 20's, which is fine, however I have a 2005 SLK and that worked the other way around, started mid 20's and settles around 22mpg.

Just trying to gauge if this is normal behaviour.

Our newly acquired 04 sl350 does exactly the same - I also wondered but it appears to work like that.

Hi, recently purchased a 07 350SL and noticed this ..Lo to Higher its all relative ! I bought the car and intend to enjoy it without worrying about the MPG too much !

Yes this is normal but scroll one more step and your see you average mpg.
