R230 Boot Seal Leaks

Looks like the seal has been leaking for quite a while to cause all that corrosion. When I did mine back in 2017 I only had a bit of surface rust, I must have caught it early. I like the butyl tape idea, if it works

It does work I used it with mine about a year ago and still solid and bone dry (always left outside)
