My 2005 SL350 nav has a brain fart about 50% of the time I start the car. It gives the message that the nav is booting up, or similar, and I just get the circle turning continuously, and the nav doesn't boot up.
Other times it boots and works perfectly. I've taken the disc out of the unit in the boot, given it a good clean, and returned it to the slot to no avail. The disc is a genuine Merc 2017 disc.
Any ideas. I suspect laser and maybe a cleaner will help.
