R230 roof rough impact

Hey all,

Been having the same issue since I bought the car - does anyone have any idea what could be causing the roof to actually move limply in the last part of the cycle and hit the rear position quite hard?

Check for wear in the ends of the hydraulic rams, these can get worn down and cause the roof to bounce like that.

I have been told there is no service schedule from Mercedes Benz for the roof hydraulic system which to me makes no sense . have you checked the oil level in the tank in the boot of the car ?
