Due to a broken leg, car was left in garage for several months leading to a flat battery. Boot would not open so tried emergency unlocking key, which didn't work!! Therefore had to resort to bodywork butchery get the boot open. Found that the emergency release would not work due to the soft close / boot locking mechanism being broken, the operating arm for the emergency release rod had snapped off. So, fitted new locking mechanism / soft close part and released and oiled the emergency lock . New battery fitted and everything working OK except that the central locking not operating properly. This was fine before the flat battery event. Is there a reset operation I have to perform on the central locking to get the system synchronised again??
