Hi there - well clealry no-one has one of these hence no replies - but I have a C32 - with CO emissions of 276. I checked the co2 databse for you and the sl350 (3.7) has a CO2 of 281. so similar to my C32. Ie around town 17mpg, motorway 28mpg. mixed use 23mpg. hope that helps.

My dads SL500 does bwtween 25 and 30 mpg and have to say sounds very nice...
My ML350 (a 3.7) but not the same as in the 350 ? does bewteen 16mpg town and 28mpg on a run.
I would guess the SL350 and SL500 would be pretty similar,

My worst consumption was 4mpg
over 3 miles of queing; my best has been 31 mpg on speed restricted Motorways over 100 miles going up the A1; my overall consumption has been 24.3 mpg over a total 51k miles.
It now seems just about run in and my everyday average is probably slightly better at arounf 25-26 mpg

Thanks for that bit of information. I wonder if it's worth looking at the SL500 as well, it can not be much worse than the SL350 on fuel (plus it may be a tad more fun
)

Not sure how many people actually measure their mpg by miles covered/fuel to top up tank method rather than relying on the computer readout. I hazard a guess that those using the computer only are kidding themselves.
My 530d in which I have now done almost 90k miles is always at least 8-10% over reading on computer, previous rides 525d, E240, Audi A6, Omega 3.0, 523, A6 have all given an overread.
For the record the BMW 525d actually gave a "genuine" 42.1 over 80k
My R129 SL500 has given a best of 27 mostly motorway and a worst of 17 mostly around town.
