R230 SL350 sat nav

had the car a few months, the last owner used it to travel to Holland/Belgium each week and now i can't get the sat nav to recognise my home town in the UK, first told me i was in Holland then after constant reloading it gradually came to the uk and Kings Lynn is as far as i can get, it's been tried with the original MB UK DX disc and a newer 2014/2015 UK disc but although it recognises Grantham as a town and all it's streets it continues to say they are not suitable to set location, shall i move ???

Had a similar problem with mine after friend was playing and decided to see if the satnav would plot a route to Athens from the UK. It was then convinced I was in Greece from then on. Fixed it by going into the settings and setting the country back to UK. Hope that helps.

Think I've tried that, is that the one where it defaults to German then you reset to English?
