R231 SL - windscreen replacement notes

    my windscreen was replaced by Autoglass (used MB windscreen) recently.

    They did not order some parts which meant that clips had to be reused, and that some plugs (can’t be re-used) were substituted by mastic. Unfortunately, this lead to a whistling wind noise from the A pillar at speeds above 60mph.

    If you are getting your SL windscreen replaced, make sure they order the following parts (the clips fit the A pillar trim and the plug goes into the windscreen frame):

    Yeah cheers 240...mine needs doing and I keep putting it of as don't trust the screen monkeys....

    Goes without saying but it would be worth treating those scrapes in the paint even if they are hidden by the trim :)
