I know it's early, but, as anyone given it any thought?

I am planning to do the run with my son, on the 21st, a Monday.
I know that we are currently on lockdown, but, I am working on the basis that we can do it.
If there are problems, we can easily pull the plug

If there is interest, we can get a list generated

West
We will travel East from Lands End in an effort to get to Ness Point before the sun arrives

Well, it looks as though my exhortations to Mr Johnson have borne fruit

If all goes to plan, June 21st is ON

Just a bump up the list.
Now we have a bit more info on travel, is anyone planning to give it a go?

To race the sun you would need to travel East to West no?

I would think either way is racing the sun albeit different directions to the "opponent".

West to East
Leave Lands End at sundown, be at Ness Point Lowestoft before sunrise.

At the moment, I'll be doing the run
Booking a hotel for the night of the 20th, next week.

Which direction do you think is most appropriate?

The way which Big Janner is doing it.

You wouldn't enter a race driving a Touring Car against an F1 would you.

Finish line is the same for both "contestants" so could be in the same or opposite directions. If you can travel that fast that is.

Never heard about this till now. I’m hoping to do the nc500 and the nc250 this year and will now add this to the list of things to do.

Im in, really fancy this, car is in bits for a caliper swap but living in hope as the alternate is a diesel Volvo. My understanding is 21.36 sunset,0430 sunrise and 430 miles minimum? is this the correct info?

Sounds intriguing, I'm trying to work out a better route than the M25 around London.

Well the time you are going to be at the M25 traffic will not be a problem,it has to be the best way, then A12 to Ipswich then A14,watch out for the Orwell Bridge it is 60mph and those cameras work then A12 again.
