Racechip GTS or DTUK fsr+ tuning box, which would you buy

Hi all
As per the title which one would you buy or recommend ?
My vehicle is MB CLA180 (C118)

There is no ECU remap available for this engine - I've looked everywhere, spoke to s9 many people. it is not possible, so ECU remap is out the question.

I need a bit more power (pick up speed, especially the top end)

Both of these boxes I believe work very similar.
I do know how they work.

Just looking for recommendations.

Racechip sued in Germany for false gain claims .
 
DTUK a site sponsor on another car forum hasn't posted since May last year when then Darkside Developments video went out .

As per my post, I do know how tuning boxes work. And yes I have come across these videos.

Again I did mention that no ECU remap is available for my engine. I thought I would write that in there, so people do not mention about remaping

And yes I have got in contact with #satuning to see if they have a device for my vehicle and no surprise....
The answer is no,
Why because as of yet no one has managed to do so.

So until then a tuning box it is.

Please Elaborate on the dark side development videos you are referring to ?
 
Interesting read regarding racechip getting sued.

Was not aware of that , and from reading it basically, its half of what they suggest you will gain in bhp and torque.

Hi , you are looking for 'recommendations ' for tuning boxes on here , by and large people on here take a dim view of them . There might be a good reason no re map exists for the 1.3 134bhp 200Nm engine in your car, I don't know ? Is their nothing on the Renault Forums about tuning a M282 engine 🤷‍♂️ .?

Looking at those figures I can understand how you might want a bit more 'get up and go' and I hope you find a suitable solution :thumb:

Didnt think of it.

I would assume it would be the same issue over there too ??

I have the gts. its not much kop really. Improves what is good anyway but doesnt improve what I wanted (off boost power) but it is on a diesel van so for your car who knows. I usually buy the rover ron but he didnt do one for my van :)
 
Sorry I can’t recommend either running box. Would it really make that much difference?

Personally I would just get on and enjoy the car you bought, rather than the car you wanted it to be - either that or buy a car with a more powerful engine.

Have you tried Brabus?
