Racechip

Yet the website quotes Caution: Difficult installation on this car.
So perhaps not plug and play then!! I was interested, as if it is simple then presumably it would also be simple to remove, for when the car is serviced etc.

I am only going by the information the seller puts on the website.

Why would you want to remove it for servicing?

The car has a dealer 2 year warranty....

This certainly wouldn't pass the VAG interigation of ODIS and would flag a TB1 code , and expect Star to be the same .

The days of remaps and tuning boxes being undetected have passed .
Thanks both, looks like I need to wait until the warranty has expired then!!

If you are going to have the car remapped, go to the experts and have it live mapped on a dyno at MSL Performance.

I doubt the map will be detected during normal servicing, but any warranty claim on the engine/transmission would be at risk once the ECU is checked.

I had a conversation with MSL who were very helpful, but as a map, it was obvious that it would be picked up if anything happened. The warranty is important and so I'll hang on for another 18 months until it's finished.

Not sure I need the extra power/torque but it is tempting !

Exactly. Why do you need extra power/torque in a C63 ? It’s powerful enough in stock form. Having extra torque is all well and good but getting all that torque down on tarmac is another matter. :)

I know, I know....but ….:)

Plus having the talent and judgement to know how to use it all safely and appropriately which I doubt most of us have hence the need for cars to have so many safety systems such as ABS, ESP etc..............
