Radiator change time!.....advice please.

Also avoid Valeo , which were known for allowing leaks between ATF and coolant .

Always preferred Behr myself
To be fair that was over twenty years ago.

BEHR may not always what you might expect them to be these days, I believe the aftermarket ones at least are not made where they used to be and quality may not be as you expect.

The original factory Merc badged one from 2009 was actually Valeo...... so the fact that Merc choose to use them and it lasted 16 years (and even then it only failed due to damage)... means they can't be that bad. As it happens I did not fit a Valeo anyway...too expensive. My car does not even use the radiator for tranny fluid cooling....it has a separate cooler for that.
 
The Valeo radiator problem often referred to, according to the MB bulletin, affected cars as follows:
