radio controlled clocks, the good, the bad and the ugly

I was in bed enjoying the extra hours kip.
THE BAD
wife shouts up, have you altered the clock in the kitchen
no, I'm in bed and I was asleep
well I'm putting the clocks back an hour and the one in the kitchen has been done
yes its radio controlled
radio controlled ?
yes it keeps accurate time by a radio signal
oh I thought it run on batteries

I had a mate who used to restore old motorbikes... One day I was sat in the kitchen with a few other of his friends. One asked how much have you to do to finish the bike you are working on now. Just as my mates wife walks into the kitchen he replies "All I have to do is Lacquer the tank" His wife look at him kinda confused look on her face and replies "Won't it come off when it rains?" I guess you had to be there as the silence in the kitchen and the look on my mates face was priceless...
